As a dispute resolution practitioner that focuses on corporate and commercial matters, I have come across instances where directors found themselves in deep waters even they played no part in the wrong act. To that end, I have on more than one occasion rejected offers to serve as an independent director for public listed companies.

However, I made an exception for MM Computer Systems Berhad (MMCS). Unlike previous occasions, I have the opportunity to serve in a company in its growing phase, going from strength to strength. On 11 May 2026, MMCS launched its prospectus as it sets out for its listing in the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia on 11 June 2026.
